Our Sessions

Our sessions take place in an outdoor, natural environment. They usually take between 1.5 to 2 hours. We begin with a still meditation to bring participants into the present moment, followed by a walk in nature using mindfulness techniques. This allows us to engage with our senses, calm the nervous system and drop down into our bodies; moving from the thinking into the sensing.

 

The sessions may include activities, such as, sitting and savouring food or drink, watching or listening to the wildlife, or experiencing a sound bath near a river. The session ends with a walk and a general talk and sharing of experience.

 

These skills and experiences can empower individuals in their everyday lives. The breathing techniques and meditations can be done at home, in the work place and obviously in nature.

We have been incredibly fortunate to be awarded lottery funding for a 7 month project March – October 2022. We intend to run sessions in Natural Areas throughout Swansea. We are also offering a session at the Verve festival in September

Feedback so far …

 

We have run a number of natural mindfulness/forest bathing sessions in our community and have had really positive feedback. People have told us that they feel calmer and more focused. They have also stated that this can last for a number of days.
