  • What you need to know before booking
Please do not attend the event if you are feeling unwell. We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave if they seem unwell or have symptoms that are COVID-19 related. We will not be wearing masks during the session as our sessions are outdoors and we do not require participants to wear masks either (unless you choose to). We will be walking on uneven ground and the temperature may change during the session, so please wear suitable clothing. This may include long trousers, a coat and appropriate footwear e.g. walking shoes with a tread. The session will involve, walking, sitting and lying we will supply mats but if you are unable to sit on the ground you may want to bring a foldable chair or could remain standing (however you are comfortable). You might also wish to bring a drink. For your safety we reserve the right to refuse participation in the session if you are not wearing appropriate clothing.   Sessions will run in all weathers unless we feel there is a risk or that it would be detrimental. The walk may be adapted to accommodate wet or very hot weather.
  • What levels of fitness are needed to take part?
Participants should have a general standard of fitness, and able to walk slowly for the time given for the session (but there will be a number of stops along the way). Our sessions involve breathing deeply, walking slowly through a wooded area, standing and sitting/lying.  There might be slopes and the ground is often uneven but our sessions are not a hike or strenuous. Unfortunately, due to the natural environment, the terrain isn’t suitable for wheelchairs (however, where new environments open up, we hope to offer more accessible sessions in future). If you have any medical issues are on any medication, please let us know. It might be advisable to check with your GP (or let your GP know that you are attending). If you have experienced any recent mental health difficulties again it would be useful for us to know about this. We will treat any information you give us with the strictest of confidence. You will be required to complete a very short health and consent form prior to attending. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. At present we don’t allow under 18’s due to insurance requirements. We also do not allow dogs at these sessions. This way you can give all your attention to the natural environment that we are in and not worry about muddy paws and what your dog might be up to!
